About This Blog

Creative Goal Setting logoThese blog posts are unashamedly promoting the Creative Goal Setting Program that I developed in the 1990s based on requests, initially from friends, then businesses and secondary schools in South Australia.  As this blog was only started in September 2010, it does not include the 20 year “journey.” (Phew, there are just some things you do not need to know!)

Yet, life is an ongoing journey, so

  1. buy your ticket; First Class AUS$195 gets you the Creative Goal Setting Program
or Economy Class AUS$25 gets you the DIY Creative Goal Setting Workbook
  2. all aboard
  3. Destination: your choice!

That would be me … female, late 40′s (yet after having both hips replaced in 2009, feeling more like late 20′s with the bonus wisdom thrown in! … yep, I am bionic!).

There is a story in the hip replacements … but I’ll save it for a blog (when I have nothing better to say :-) ), but trust me I know all about denial … it took 9 painful years and a walking stick to get to the point of surrender … DOH!!!  So, when I mention ‘denial’ in my blog posts … just trust me, I am a master of denial!  And not only in the Health Area of my life!  The outcome of that is, that I also have experience in making changes in my life, experience in dealing with that pesky little habit many of us have called denial.

A single Mum of a single 12 year old child (I am very proud of this achievement), I am now very very aware of how having two people with the same intention, and giving it the same attention, speeds up materialising goals from finding car parks right where you want them, to materialising furniture, a campervan(!), ideal homes, stuff (toys, gadgets, etc), investment properties, the list goes on.  Who would have thought I would learn this from being a parent … I have certainly learnt how it can go horribly wrong in relationships.  I highly recommend being around people who have similar intentions and willingly put their attention on positive, healthy, expansive intentions!  Another lesson learnt :-)

We live in a village like community, only 30 minutes from the centre of Adelaide, South Australia, where we have the benefits of a small school (approx. 100 students) and a general store/post office with proprietors who know everyone in the district.  I love that!

When I am not typing at my computer, I am outside gardening … a great source of inspiration … although mowing is a bit of task!  If it is raining, then reading novels and doing jigsaws would be top of my list … if I wasn’t a parent, of course!!!

I didn’t mention personal development as a hobby … because it ‘morphed’ into a career 20-30 years ago.  Yet it is still my favourite topic!

Professionally (something I avoid as much as possible; my style being more casual), I can be a pretty good workplace trainer.  My favourite topic being Creative Goal Setting and Personal Development.  I really enjoy working group dynamics (dealing with different personalities all seeking/avoiding attention), even when public speaking.  Although, I have to get dressed up for public speaking, otherwise I love it.

um … what else do you want to know?  … yes, we have pets, a guinea pig, a cat and a tortoise.

Am I happy? … you bet!!!  And more is always better :-)
